No one asked me to do this. I want to make that clear. So many beauty posts start with, “You guys. Everyone’s been asking me about…”. Not this one. No one asked, but I’m still telling.
Tbqh, I’m starting this for two reasons.
I love talking about everything anti-aging. It’s an amazing world that I never expected to be in.
Website optimization.
Apparently a good keyword and a great sunscreen are the keys to success for an anti-aging obsessed accidental entrepreneur. I describe myself this way because I never dreamt of being a #bossbabe. I’m originally from the middle of the United States and wanted to accomplish a couple of things in my younger years…find a husband, travel the world, and move to California. I through hard work and determination (😉) I accomplished these goals, but also found a career in medical aesthetics along the way. I stumbled into sales, and carried a bag for medical grade cosmetics, skincare, and facial injectables for a decade. I set the bag down a couple of years ago and started a tech company to help medical providers find fresh faces for trainings. If you’re curious how you can get Botox or facial fillers for free…subscribe. It’s literally the best kept secret in this industry
During this decade of selling I learned so many things about taking care of your skin, how to age with grace, and the choices that we have. I fell in love with aesthetics because for the first time in history we have a choice how we age. Gone are the days where genetics, fate, and your mother’s night cream were the only options. We now have toxins (the good kind), fillers, lasers, high tech skincare…to put it simply…we have hope.
Thanks what this blog is about. Choice and hope. I’m going to help you differentiate between snake oil and the good stuff. Where to splurge and where to save. Also, how to determine if you even want to enter this brave new world! I believe aging is beautiful. The modern world of beauty gives us options not mandates. I want your questions so I can find the answers from experts in the field. You don’t spend 10 years banging on the doors of plastic surgeons without making a few friends along the way. Let’s go behind the scenes and discover the secrets of medical aesthetics.
P.S. I apologize in advance for the inevitable spelling and grammar errors. My brain works fast and I have ADD. I will try and fail to proof read perfectly. Best case it’s endearing. Worst case…I’ll let you decide.
